Bluetooth Remote
« on: March 11, 2014, 09:53:01 am »

I currently have a logitech number pad that's bluetooth.  It has the arrow keys on it (whatever you call those things), so when it's not in a numlock mode, I can use it to navigate theatre view perfectly.  Has a back button and volume buttons (up, down, mute), it works great.  It's old though, the screen doesn't work on it anymore, The driver is mildly supported in Win7, but sometimes if it tries to upgrade drivers, I have to plug in another mouse and rollback the driver because it stops working.

Here's the link to what it is:

I'd like to replace it with a better remote, but I'm not a big fan of using an IR remote, I don't know why, but I like the fact that this is essentially a bluetooth remote.  However, when I google Bluetooth remotes, I don't find anything that does everything.  I don't want to use a keyboard, that feels huge.  I don't want a remote with a tiny keyboard, that seems too hard to use.

So my requirements:
 - Has to have volume buttons
 - Has to work in theatre view (arrows & the back key)
 - Has to have numbers (easy for changing channels when viewing TV)

Is this too hard to find in a bluetooth mode?  Should I really just be looking at an IR remote?

Thanks!
