So, I just moved a bunch of albums by a single artist onto my NAS, which is mapped as a drive letter into my main library.

MC recognized 4 of the albums, but not the other 7!

They don't show up in the Files view. I tried using a Smart List suggested in an earlier post (with ~d=a) in the import/export box and they don't even show there. The missing 7 albums are organized the same as the 4 that were found as far as title and artwork folder.

They are all flac files.

Any ideas how I can hunt down the cause of this issue?

I tried moving the offending directories off the NAS and then moving them back in, but that didn't work.

I did the auto-import manually and it appeared that MC hung.
Restarted it, and then imported the parent directory that contains the 11 albums. Immediately, two more albums showed up.
Did it again, but no more albums showed up.
Then tried importing each specific album directory individually.
No more showed up.
Wrote a search expression to select all files where the filename (path) started with the path to the root folder, hoping that maybe some were erroneously tagged.
Nope, the other albums do not show up anywhere in the MC library.
So, now I am missing 5 of the eleven albums.

Any ideas?

OK, I found them, the manual import worked. Public Image Limited had several different ways to represent the artist (Limited, Ltd, and Ltd.).

So, I am good now, but it did require the manual import to work.
