How may I disable auto-Analyse?
« on: March 11, 2014, 08:55:38 am »

How may I disable the auto-Analyse that occurs when I drag files from Explorer on to the Player?

I want to avoid the long delay before play starts, but can find no option to disable auto-Analyse except for ripping.

Thanks.

Try the options under Tools > Import > Configure Auto-Import.

Try the options under Tools > Import > Configure Auto-Import.

Thanks, but no joy there. "Analyze audio for audio files" is uncheckmarked.

Which is no surprise, since TMK this option affects only Auto-import. And I am not performing an import, auto or otherwise.

Yes, sorry, I knew better, but figured it was worth checking.

Not a great workaround, but could you start playing one file and then drag the other 1000 over?

I assume this is just reading the embedded file tags to display the correct name, embedded album artwork etc.
It can really slow things down when you want to play files via explorer rather than importing them though, which is annoying.

I agree 6233638. If this were really "Analyse" ans in Library Tools > Analyse Audio, it would take ten times longer! :)
