I've not had as much luck. It crashes on ours wtih cryptic dmesgs from seemingly trivial things such as logging into an user ssh account.
What install method did you use and what firmware level (.75, .90 whatever)?
I’m using the latest firmware (0.7.5) and built the Debian Wheezy 7.4 image for an 8Gb SDHC card using Ubuntu running on an Oracle VM VirtualBox under Win7-x64 using the instructions here -

Hooked the Galileo up to my router, then booted up the Intel Galileo off the 8Gb SD and did all other setups on the Galileo through a PuTTY SSH client on the Win7-x64 machine (Wi-Fi install/config, package updates, etc.). Have been running the Galileo off of Wi-Fi ever since.

https://communities.intel.com/thread/48074 - you’ll need to boot the Galileo to a serial console and add the /roofs/media/realroot directory (this is correctly done beforehand in the link above).
Going to try SSE emulation to see if I can get JRiver MC working on the Galileo (the Windows version is fantastic).
