Play http stream: why play starts after 6 sec?
« on: April 05, 2015, 07:07:57 am »

I'm playing http streams from local network. But when starting play it show that stream has duration 6 sec (duration is different for different streams) It's look like MC cash for 6 sec stream and only after that start play.
When I open the same stream in VLC or WindowsMC it's starts play without delay.
How can I change cash/duration of stream
url of stream looks like that: http://192.168.1.100:8001/1:0:11:4A34:14:70:1680000:0:0:0:

Question two: how can I change file order in playlist?

Options->Audio->Settings->Prebuffering (6 secs is default, you will not want to set it to 0)

Display the playlist as a list. Drag the items to reorder them.

Thank you for answer Bob
the minimum prebuffering that I can set the menu (Options->Audio->Settings->Prebuffering) is 2 seconds. But even when I set it to 2 sec it still brebuffering more that 2 sec: about 6-8 sec.And why my video streams have duration's 6, 8, 9 seconds (it's a video not only audio streams)?

I played around with this a bit, the amount of buffering is a fuzzy algorithm to minimize gaps.
The duration is calculated as well since the stream in general provides no duration. What you should be seeing basically is how far you are from the end of the stream and if it buffered up 6-8 seconds that would explain the duration you see.
I see different behavior here depending on which audio stream I'm playing.

So as I understand we can't control buffering manually.

It appears not for streams.
