I have a request for future versions of JRemote. The A-Z bar ought to work the way it does in MC, where I have artists sorted by a new field in which last name comes first, but displayed as the Artist field. The A-Z bar allows me to jump to artists based on the field I use to sort. In JRemote, on the other hand, the A-Z bar is tied to the display name, rendering it useless for what it's intended purpose.

Any chance this might be changed?

This is not possible at the moment because there is no way to get information about how a list is sorted.
It will require some additions to the web service to get this working properly.

Sorting is one of the areas that needs attention moving forwards, so thank you for reminding me:)

Yes, it will definitely be addressed. Can`t give you an estimate right now, but will look into it for the next version.
