Netflix - Series display issue
« on: July 17, 2014, 10:26:18 am »

Hi.
Love JRiver Media Center!
Question:
In Netflix in MC, if I go into say, American Dad or Family Guy, it does not display any of the shows.
It loads for a minute, then says no info to display.
If I go into another series, all of the shows display correctly.
Is there a way to correct this?
Thanks!

We'll take a look at it.  It looks like it's reproducible.

Are you going to discontinue the Netflix plugin in MC?  ?
That's the reason I quit using Windows Media center...

We will support Netflix as long as possible.

With the Netflix API being killed off in November, will this render the ENTIRE MC Netflix app unusable, or will it still work on a limited basis?
Is there a way to get the Windows 8.1 Netflix App to work in JRiver MC?
Their app is nice, but you cannot use a remote control. :-(

Are there different ways to access Netflix in MC that will work with a remote control?
Sorry to "push" the issue, but we use MC for TV & Netflix.
Hulu doesn't seem to have the same quality / amount of movies as Netflix.
Is Hulu going to be affected also?

Let's wait and see.  It's possible that Netflix will change its position.  Let them know how you feel.

It turns out Netflix's API is extremely slow to respond in some cases.  MC does everything correctly, but in the case of Family Guy and other TV shows with many episodes it can take upwards of 5 minutes to get a response.  The next build of Media Center will have a much longer timeout so if you let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes the episodes should show up. Hopefully Netflix makes some changes here.
