JRiver Windows hardware
« on: July 28, 2014, 06:28:31 am »

Have you considered the tiny Lenovo ThinkCenter M93 tiny desktop as a JRiver hardware platform?
- Small footprint
- Bundled with Win 7 / 64 bit
- Can order with SSD or hard drive
- Sufficiently powered to run JRiver

This might be a very attractive alternative to the Id
(many of us are not anxious to leave the Win 7 version of JRiver)

I already use one of these for my lounge room HTPC :)  The fan is a bit noisy though.

The i5 does playback everything just fine though. :)

The current NUC hardware is quieter and the i5 equivalent in the NUC is a newer cooler running processor so its quieter. So you could order a NUC and build a windows machine yourself. Im running dual boot on the Id currently. Using windows MC19 for video and the Id on Linux with my external DAC for some serious 2ch listening or HDMI for multi-channel Audio.
