one letter jump
« on: August 14, 2014, 07:52:55 pm »

I love the panes view.  I like an alphabetic sort by artist and then album.
I used to be able to press G, say for Godsmack.  The pane would jump to the top of the G's.  Now it does nothing.
What am I missing?

Click in the pane and then type the letter.  Worked for me just now.

Where in the pane.  I uploaded a capture.  I cannot click in any of the spots and hit a single letter and get it to jump.

Thanks for the response.

You have numbers in all the wrong places.

For example, if you click on the word "Acoustic" in the "Genre" column and type G MC would jump to the first Genre name starting with G.  If you click on "2 live Crew" in the "Artist" column and type G, MC will jump to the first artist name beginning with G.  If there isn't a name starting with G, MC will not jump at all.

Here's the concept: MC interprets a keystroke in terms of the UI element that has focus.  That's a Windows UI convention.  If the focus is not on the right pane column, click in that column to put the focus there.
