Any wireless DLNA speakers?
« on: August 23, 2014, 10:28:35 am »

Are there any wireless speakers that will work with Media Center DLNA? I really would like to do this. My integra 80.3 works with DLNA from Media center but not gap less. Not a very big deal for me.

Pioneer A4 works fine.

They seem to be discontinued. Are there alternatives?

The A3 is battery powered (truly wireless) whereas the A4 requires AC power.
Both should still be available at Amazon and other resellers.

It doesn't support gapless though, or a lot of other features when using DLNA rather than AirPlay.
But if you just want a basic speaker it works fine.

Indeed it sounds like they're sold out. In Amazon Germany only 1 is available. I bought them in May and I give 5 Stars. Simple and stable connection via WLAN, supports lossless formats and the integrated subwoofer gives them a good sound. Out of interest I ask Pioneer.eu whether there have cased the production or whether there is a successor product.

I would be interested in any response you get.

Today I get an Answer. To my amazement they confirmed that the A4 is sold out. In Autumn at the IFA in Berlin (an important electronic fair) they will present new streaming speakers. I think they will this also do in other counties on a comparable event.
