1. Fixed: MC would not correctly parse some DVD's with an unusual authoring scheme.  The result was that we did audio analysis on the wrong title (like one of the very short menu titles).
2. Fixed: When editing an existing OpenCable television channel, the existing channel number was not automatically filled in.
3. Fixed: When creating a new STB channel, or editing an existing STB channel, MC did not offer IR device and port selection boxes.
4. Fixed: Field names with a dash in them cause problems when selecting them in a Smartlist for the sort criteria.
5. Fixed: Some expressions would evaluate incorrectly in the last build.
6. Changed: Increased Netflix API timeout length to 10 minutes as some API calls take longer than they should.
7. Fixed: When editing or creating a DVB television channel, "Is DVB2" checkbox was not offered.

4. NEW: DLNA subscribing to Rendering Control events structure added.
5. Changed: DLNA device alive call using GetTransportSettings (which is required by the spec).
6. Fixed: Double-click on the lamp shade for party mode password circumvention wasn't working.  Note that Control and Shift must be held during the double-click.

1. Fixed: Get Movie & TV Info was getting a low resolution image from Rotten Tomatoes.
2. Faster: Browser components cache their expression so using a big expression in a pane is faster.

4. Fixed: Really big expressions (many paragraphs) could cause a crash.

4. Fixed: MCWS/v1/DSP/Set changes didn't take effect until a dialog was shown (now changes take effect right away).

A quick note about this, this is referring to this change from 19.0.152:
1. Changed: When playing with real-time DSD output, a sample rate change of the input won't reset the output DAC.

We realize a few people will be sad that we've had to revert this change again, but for now it caused way too many instabilities in audio playback.
There is a clear plan to bring it back later, after we've had more time to develop a proper solution.

A friendly reminder of a couple bugs.

This one has been here since version 17.
In theater view only:

When the artist field has multiple values delimited by ";", the values are shown separately as they should be.
The problem is that these separated artists don't have any artist images.

This one has been here since version 17(I think).
Tag on import:
If you are re-importing dvd rips (ifo) MC fills the media subtype field with "Movie" regardless of what value tag on import uses.
ie. When re-importing, media subtype field will never be anything other than "Movie"

I'm not seeing this.  I set the artist to Abba;Shabba for some Abba tracks.  I pick Abba in Theater View and it has the right art.

I tested some files and have narrowed down the problem to when an artist appears in lists with more than 1 other artist on different tracks.
Example:
Abba art will show up fine if there are some tracks with "Abba;Shabba" but....
If there are some tracks with "Abba;Shabba" on one album and some tracks with "Abba;2Pac" on another album, the Abba art will no longer show up.
It's as if only one pairing is allowed. Any more and artist art will no longer show up.

Again, theater view only. Categories works fine.

The taskbar preview media controls show the play button instead of the expected pause button when music is currently playing.



This is with MC playing music, as you can see there's the play/pause button but the play icon appears, not the pause icon. Otherwise when clicking the button, it functions as it should. It's a cosmetic issue and easily reproduced on Windows 8.1.

Cover Art display and Progress should be supported as well.

The play button is still always stuck on "play" for me too, it never changes to "pause" when something is playing.


And I don't know if it is possible via the taskbar previews, or task functions, but it would be great to have some way of quickly rating the currently playing item in the background.

Interesting, might need to request enhancements for this in the MC20 thread. And since we're on the subject, this is another issue I've mentioned before, but it still persists. I've since come up with the steps needed to reproduce it. I can reproduce it on Windows 8.1, not sure about Windows 7.

1) In MC, set Media Server (just Media Server) to run at Windows startup.
2) Reboot, this is necessary to reproduce this issue. Make sure Media Server has started before opening Media Center.
3) Open Media Center and begin playing music and minimize Media Center to the taskbar.
4) Hover your mouse causing the taskbar preview to show up. As you can see in the screenshot below, the taskbar preview lacks the media controls.



If I close Media Center and reopen it, the media controls return normally.

Can anyone else reproduce this or is this also known?

You know, I thought the disappearing playback controls had been resolved now - it may just be because I haven't run Media Server for a while. (since it's a huge pain to quit it along with MC every time I make changes to a Gizmo view)

Forgot to ask - is there any way to up sample 2.8 DSD to 5.6 using DSP or do the files need to be converted with audio convert or Audiogate etc? I would love it if possible now or in the future.

Pick 2xDSD from Output Format and they'll be converted as you play them.

Hi, I have it set to 2x in DSP but my Luxman DA06 DAC shows 2.8 on its display when playing 1x DSD - always has. Everything else including true DSD128 shows 5.6

No, bitstreaming implies that its output entirely untouched.
Any conversion has to go through our high quality PCM audio engine.

Native DSD conversion and manipulation - that does not involve PCM - is very expensive and rare.

What is the current release version of MC...?  In the forums, this is listed as the 'recommended' version, however, at the company download page, version 20 is listed.  I downloaded and installed it, but it didn't upgrade version 19, it did a separate installation...

There seems to be a pretty big bug in the browsing of files in standard view. I have my video views set up to show as tiles and double clicking on a category isnt filtering the next view at all. Eg, If I click on Comedy in my TV Shows view I get a list of all Series instead of just the Comedy series.
