Good Morning! Just downloaded the MC 20 update with no issues. License install went fine as well.

I do have a question about updating tags during the ripping process.  All of my music is classical and most of the time the production information on the disk needs updating. There is a category in the library called 'multiple' or 'various' artists, I believe.  If I encounter this flag before ripping, the box is greyed out meaning an adjustment can't be made. Now you can make a change after the rip is done but MC still places the rip in the 'multiple' artists folder. Is there a way to defeat this? If I change the tagging after the rip how can I get the file(s) out of the 'multiple' folder and into the main listings.  Apparently MC doesn't do so on its own.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards to all, Richard

To rename / move files use:
Right-click > Library Tools > Rename, Move & Copy Files

Matt, thanks for the information.

I have tried your guide on one file and it seems to work. I noticed that there was a box with a check in in it that says something like put disks with multiple artists in a multiple artist folder. I have unchecked that. Does that mean from now forward I won't have files located at that spot in the library? Oh, I assume that the tag will update such that the album covers will update as well. Am I correct? Thanks for all the help. Richard

Matt, I think I jumped the gun in my last post. Your directions were very clear. However, when I checked to see what happened to the files they did move to my E:\Music\ etc., from the multiple artists folder. Yet they moved as individual files rather then files in a folder. There are four selections in the drop down menu at the top of the rename, move & copy menu. I used the default and the files moved as they should but they did not move with the folder. I used the one you suggested. Of the remaining selections would I be able to move the files in the folder and have the files updated within the folder which would move as well.
