DLNA is not using DSP to convert PCM to DSD
« on: November 26, 2014, 09:27:06 pm »

I'm using the latest 20.0.41 version and just got an SOTO SMS100 mini server and am using an IFI micro IDSD DAC connected to it. The SMS is set to DNLA mode. I have audio mode set to "specified output format" and format 24 bit. Under advanced I have sample rate: same as source. If I click DSP studio I have 2xDSD in DOP selected(none of the other options work either). Any PCM only plays at it's original sample rate. All native DSD is converted to DXD 705/768 according to the LED on the IFI. I can also use the volume control so I know it's not DSD. Any ideas on what settings I needs. I'm using the latest IFI ASIO driver.

Thanks for any help

DLNA does not support on-the-fly DSD encoding, sorry.

Hmm. I thought when I read this:

"11. NEW: Added dsp studio to DLNA server audio advanced options. REQUIRES the output format to be set to "Specified Output Format"."

that meant all DSP features?? I guess only some of them?

Thanks
