How to change genre or add new genre to a batch of albums
« on: December 09, 2014, 04:10:30 pm »

Probably pretty straight forward, but I'm software challenged. Please explain from selecting multiple albums to renaming the genre. An example would be changing Pop/Rock to something like Experimental Rock.  Thanks in advance.

You select multiple albums by holder CTRL down while you click.

To change the genre, look at Action Window > Tag > Genre.  You'll set it once for the files and be done.

1.  You can use the Genre View under Audio to select your genre.
2.  Click a single file in the right pane and then press Ctrl + A to select all ( or go to Edit > Select All). This will select all the files in that genre.
3.  Press Alt + Enter to bring up the Tag Action Window or just click "Tag" in the Action Window at the bottom left of the screen.
4.  Go to the Genre tag and change to your desired genre. Now all the files will be changed.
