Media Editor Freezes

Media Editor freezes up in XP at Decoding
Attempted running without MJ running.
Attempted other combinations.

Anybody else with problem and able to fix?

Update

Media Editor will import WAV file but then freezes up after displaying channels.

Looks like two problems.  One with encoder and one with basic operation of the editor.  Characteristics consistant if MJ is or is nor running at same time.  CPU usage (1.7 GHz machine) runs all the way to 100% when freezes.

Is this a really big wav file?  What happens if you try a small one (30 seconds or less)?

WAV file is approx 40 Megs.

Double Clicking rather than using the open button works for large and small files.
