YouTube DASH playback?
« on: December 01, 2014, 12:47:39 pm »

I'm still on MC19 but would like to know if this is implemented or planned for MC20. YouTube's 1080p videos are now splitted (DASH separate audio/video streams). This means that in MC19 (MC20?) the option YouTube/Playback bitrate/highest quality available is not really valid. If a YT video is played inside the MC player, the 720p non-DASH version will be played (example), not the 1080p (confirmed from madVR's OSD). It would be a nice feature for MC to detect and playback the highest quality separate streams as one.

Another problem I'm having is that MC will not play m4a audio files (the downloaded audio stream of a DASH YT video). I will get "Something went wrong with playback".
