Listening to internet audio through JRiver
« on: March 13, 2015, 06:38:01 pm »

I use my Windows 7 Professional PC to play music and to browse the web. My DAC is a Schit Loki DSD DAC.

Currently, I have to select the Loki in Windows control panel and switch the AVR to the CD input to listen to music. Then if I want to browse the web I have to go back into Control Panel, select the High Definition Audio Device, exit control panel and switch the AVR to a different input to hear audio from the web.

Is there some way to set up MC so web based audio (i.e. Youtube, Pandora, Kahn Academy, etc) can be played through the Loki and not have to keep switching back and forth between devices and inputs?

Thanks,

Mike

Answer found. I didn't know what WDM driver meant in the sticky post above. I had seen the JRiver Media Centr speaker icon in Windows control panel but thought I had to select the device icon for my DAC.

Once I selected the JRiver icon I was able to her both my music files and sound from websites.
