JRemote Hardware Volume Keys (Android)
« on: April 07, 2015, 02:26:40 pm »

Will this functionality be added?  Not sure if if exists on the iOS version or not...

I'm thinking both as playing content to the Android device, and controlling a HTPC.  Using the slider is a step back from the volume functions in Gizmo.  That was one of the features that I used the most with Gizmo.  Run the HTPC from the kitchen and change the volume just with the keys - and not having to slide a bar on a 3" wide screen trying to add 3% and not 10%.

Thanks!

This will be implemented sooner or later.
Can't work on everything at the same time. ;)

That's great to hear; my understanding was that this wasn't a feature supported on the ios version (hardware buttons only worked for local playback) because of apple's sandboxing.  I was afraid we'd get the same thing on android, which would be a bummer because almost none of my Gizmo/eos/etc. playback is on the device.

It works for Gizmo, so why wouldn't it work for JRemote for Android? :)

Great!  Understand it takes time, just wanted to make sure this "small" feature wasn't missed, because it has a big impact on the user experience.

Thanks!
