Is it possible to get a list(via a smartlist or a custom view perhaps?) that would display all albums that contain songs with different album art?

This is deceptively difficult.  I'm not sure an expression or smartlist can do it.  But maybe someone clever can show us a magic expression.

You might be interested in a thread I found about Album Cover Art Maintenance.  The process looks a little bit longer and more complicated than I'm willing to test. But it looks like it would give you a really great way to maintain your cover art.

It's key idea seems to be exporting all cover art into directories (or a single directory) and then importing those into MC as images.  I would think that if you did that you'd end up with a listing where you could try to filter on directories that have more than one image for a given album.  That would seem to get what you want.  <shrug>
