lynx asio drivers stop working in jriver
« on: July 01, 2015, 05:43:01 pm »

HI I have 2 computers using the Lynx AES16e card and the asio driiver from lynx stops working and I have to switch over to wasapi to get it to play.

How do we keep it working on the Lynx asio driver?

I've had the exact issue with my Lynx Aurora 16-TB in the past couple months. Both the Aurora with its LT-TB card and the AES16e use the same firmware. It is very random and a reboot takes care of the issue. I wonder if it is a Lynx issue?

I don't think it is a Lynx issue as I have many computers using the same card and drivers that work the way they are supposed to.

In my case rebooting fixes it for a short time and then it won't work again and I have to select WASAPI to get it to play.

I don't think this is a JRiver problem.  That a driver works with other software is no guarantee that the driver has no defects.

Sometimes a sound device may have trouble switching among different sample rates and bit rates.  Using MC's DSP Studio / Output Settings to set everything to the same format may help.
