Problem calibrating my speakers - need help
« on: May 05, 2015, 05:27:57 pm »

when I try to calibrate my speakers I go to Tools - advance tools - audio calibration, but Im getting sound from front left and right channels only (basically stereo). When I try to play the the other files looks like they are missing: the graphic bars that are present in the front letf and right channels is missing in the rest of the channels and the progresion bar is not moving. My configuration is 7.1 channels in settings and if I play a movie all channels play correctly.  JRiver Driver in my pc shows 8 channels so dont undertsand what is happening. would you help me please. I have instaled latest version and never try this option before so can't tell if its a bug or not. thanks in advance

I have used the audio calibration to generate test tones in the past ~2 months, so it can work. Not sure what's going on for you, unfortunately.

When you select calibration there's a pulldown menu that allows you to select whether you want stereo, 5.1 or 7.1 clips.  It will generate whatever clips you tell it to.

Yes, I ended up with 14, but it probably varies based on the selection.
