I apologize for this stupid question, I wasn't able to find an answer to my issue yet (forum, manual).

I am using MC20 for computer-based music playback via HTPC, Marian SeraphD4 audio card and Metrum Pavane DAC. Everything works fine via kernel streaming, I am very pleased, being a customer snce MC17.

However, occasionally, my wife want to watch a video/movie and as our HTPC is connected to the TV by HDMI, I "discovered" that MC20 is also a formidable video player (sorry, movies are not my no.1 prio).

For routing the sound to the TV I have to (re)configure a display audio driver  instead of the audio-card channel (Audio settings in Options).... and it works fine.

My problem is that I don't know how to configure MC20 to AUTOMATICALLY go/route via audio card when playing Music and display audio driver when playing Videos respective ... as I don't want to reconfigure each time I swirch from Music to Video playback.

I somehow can't believe that this shoudn't be possible, BUT HOW ?

you should make two zones.. one for audio, and one for video. and then use the zoneswitch to automatically change them.. there is more her http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Zones

i think that should get you going, if not just say were you got stuck

It works...never experimented with zones, it was quite trivial indeed.
