Hi all,

Can a HDCD be played and/or ripped in a regular CD drive of a PC?

I'm interested in an ebay auction of a CD but just realized that it's a HDCD and don't know whether I will be able to rip it with MC as with the regular CDs.

Hi,

I encountered no problem at all to rip HDCD encoded CD. I  bought a few and was able to add them to my library without a glitch.

So As far as I know and accordind to my experience the answer to your question is, Yes !
