The latest version of MC10 is here: ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter100125.exe

PRICE and UPGRADE info is here:
http://www.musicex.com/mediacenter/purchase.html

10.0.125 (4/28/04)

1. Fixed: Clip protection in DSP Studio would never rebound after turning the volume down to prevent clipping.
2. Fixed: When toggling DSP settings, turning off a loud DSP could cause clip protection to turn the music down more than necessary for a while.
3. Fixed: MC could fail to recognize some decimal nubmers from tags or libraries when they were created in a different locale.
4. Fixed: When switching between Theater View screens with different "List / Thumbnails" settings, the button on the left wouldn't always update properly.
5. Fixed: Switching to fullscreen from a minimized windowed view could cause fullscreen to not show properly.

PLEASE bring back the custom install option!

Even better, let us decide where to put the Start Menu icons and whether or not to install a desktop icon and remember it each time we install.

Heck, this version didn't even ask me where I wanted to install it!

OK, so I'm anal about my Start Menu and I HATE programs that don't ask me where to put there stuff.

The custom install option is still there. It's an option when agreeing to the terms and conditions. You probably didn't notice it because you're so used to clicking "Agree" without looking.

After the first time FF/REW is used (Crtl L or R), samples are not played back correctly .  Rather than hearing a little bit of the song at each point it jumps to, you simply hear the same sample over and over again, creating a "broken record" effect.  This of course makes it difficult to scan for a particular area of a track since you can't hear where you are.

I guess pavlov was right.  Give me a license screen and I automatically click OK/Next/whatever without even reading it :)

It would still be cool if after going through the custom install once, the options chosen were saved (or there was an option to save them) and used for all later installs.

I didn't notice it either.  A lot of others probably didn't notice it as well.  It's not really an option  if people have trouble noticing it.

What happens with "Analyse audio" ?  ?

Frequently, my MC10 crashes :

"Failed to update the following files (...)

This can happen when files are missing, in use, read-only, or corrupt."  :-[

My Files are not missing, not in use, not read-only, not corrupt !  :-\

But, after this crash, my files are corrupt !  :'( >:(

This bug is in MC10 since MC10.0.122 ...

Vermaje,
Take a look at the actual file name. In file explorer, open the folder that contains your music and see if the name of the file differs from what MC says it should be. This is what's happening to me (and some others; see
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=21046): I'll use the library tools to change the file name based on properties and it ends up truncating the actual file name (adds a tilde to the end of the name). The result is that MC cannot find the file and might be leading to the situation you're in. I've noticed this since build 116 (or somewhere around there).

Is this happening to you?

If I [accidentally] try to analyse audio for files on CD, MC informs me and then skips these files - which is fine. But it then moves these files from the CD database to the main database.

This causes the icon in MC to change from orange to blue which it shouldn't.

Sorry, didn't explain that very well - please ask if you don't 'get' what I'm trying to say.

Adding new field names causes the list to flicker alot.
also, the box for the fields is now tiny and extremely hard to manage and use.
any possibility of more space for the fields as they are the core of the program?
