JRemote search mystery
« on: September 16, 2015, 04:42:20 pm »

Hello forum !
I'm testing JRiver MC and JRemote as an alternative to iTunes & Remote.
Testing was giving very good results until I find the following issue:
I have a large Classical Library (about 2000 albums). The search function is mandatory.
To test it, I add the 45 CD of Ferenc Fricsay "Complete recordings on Deutsche Gramophon" on the MC library.
On MC the search using "fricsay" display the 45 CD. All OK.
When using JRemote on my iPhone or iPad I get from the search using "fricsay" only 137 tracks from the 457 available. NOK.
I verify that the keyword "fricsay" was in the artist field for each missing track.
If I search the missing track using another field like "composer" I can found it.
I'm missing something ? There is something else to setup the search ? How ?
Thanks a lot

News:
The issue was solved: Tools -> Options -> Media Network -> Advanced -> Customize views for JRemote
I changed the Artist "Items to show" by removing "Album". I restart MC and the Media server.
All the tracks were shown in JRemote but in a flat view of tracks (no album).
I changed the Artist "Items to show" by adding "Album". I restart MC and the Media server.
All the tracks were shown in JRemote with the album/track view.

I do not know how that happens but it solves my issue.
