madVR getting display mode failed
« on: September 27, 2015, 12:23:49 pm »

Hi,

I have a new EVGA GTX 960 4GB and upgraded to win 10.
If playing 29.97 BD I got the error message madVR -getting display mode failed, even with the current madVR Version of MC21 as well with the newest Version of madVR (I installed that for testing purpose to crosscheck.) I needed to reboot.

Display mode  change is automatic change mode on. If I configure it automatic change mode : off and
Display mode change is NTSC 29.97/.. -> 59 Hz 32 bit

With Win 8.1 and GTX 750 Ti everything works. Videos with 23Hz works also under win 10 without problem.
Display is a Sony TV 1920 x 1080p 60Hz.
Any ideas?

Because the nvidia driver really crashes, I uninstalled all the nvidia SW, then use DDU to remove all driver artifacts and then do a fresh install of the latest nvidia drivers solved the problem. Everything works again. Why this happend I don't know.

By the way the picture quality with madVR is fantastic. It has alway's the Wow effect.
