Convert Format not working

I'm new to Linux, but think I'm going to be very happy in the long run. Using Media Center 21 on a Linux Mint 17.2 box, Converting Format (FLAC) to MP3 is not working for me. I have no problems with the OTHER OS. Do I need to do something or is this just a MC Liux problem?

Install lame on your system.

sudo apt-get install lame
