I use the TV function of JRMC21, and am experiencing an annoying quirk with the program: every hour on the hour, any show I am watching stops playing back. The workaround is to hit the STOP button and return to the Guide, then select the show and "Watch" again.

Why does this happen, and how can it be avoided?

The only such behavior I ever see is when you use MC19 or earlier as client.  Are you in this situation?

MC20 and higher requires clients to send in keep-alive signals.  MC19 clients do not do it.  So the server would automatically assume the client is gone and shut down TV playback.

Wait, you said, On the hour.  Even MC19 could not explain that.
