Crackling audio in WASAPI mode [solved]
« on: November 01, 2015, 05:22:57 pm »

I have been experience a crackling sound when I play audio files using WASAPI.
The problem disappears when I switch to Direct Sound.
I have been using JRiver for a few years and this is a new problem.

I am currently running build 17 of MC 21.

I checked my device settings and buffering was set a 5ms.
I don't recall playing with the settings when I installed the new versions.

After resetting the buffering to 100ms, audio sounds much better.
