I have playlists in MC19 that I want to move to another computer, however the files on the new computer have a different file directory structure.  What's the best way to get my playlists from one computer to another?  Exporting the playlists and importing them on the other machine yields playlists that are blank (no songs).

Please help! Thanks.

The best way to do this is to make a Library Backup on the original machine, then import that backup on the new machine.  All of the paths will be wrong.  But you can change them with the Rename, Move, and Copy tool in Database Update mode.

This assumes that your new file structure is the same as the old file structure, other than a different drive letter and/or a different leading folder or something.  Like:

C:\Music
got transferred to:

F:\BigDirectory\Music

Once you've restored the Library and then changed the paths, all of your songs should work, and all of your playlists should work too.

If your structure is radically different, I'm not sure what to tell you.  Maybe someone else has a clever idea or two.
