Well... First of all, removing them isn't a big deal at all.
Make a new Smartlist, and add a rule for Channels is greater than 2. If you'd like, you can just use Import/Export and paste this in:
[Media Type]=[Audio] [Media Sub Type]=[],[Music] [Channels]=>2 ~sort=[Filename]That will display a list of all the files in your Library that have more than 2 channels. You can delete them or remove them or whatever all at once.
That solved, you have a few choices to consider. You could go any of these routes:
1. Delete them entirely.
2. Remove them from MC (and set it not to re-import them, which I'll explain in a minute)
3. Keep them imported, but hide them from your regular Media Views.
Deleting them entirely is self-evident, so I won't explain there. If you'll never need them, I don't see why you're keeping them around sucking up space on your hard drives, though.
Stopping them from re-importing is easy. By default, MC's Auto-Import system won't re-import files you've manually removed from your Library. This is, however, a setting in Auto-Import, and you may have gotten it turned off somehow.
Go to
Tools > Options > Library & Folders > Auto Import > Configure Auto Import and enable
Ignore files previously removed from library in the Tasks section of the Auto-Import dialog. As I mentioned, that defaults on, but if MC is re-importing the files when you run Auto-Import, then it must have gotten turned off. Turn it back on and it will stop them from re-importing once removed. If you ever need to re-import them, though, you'll need to learn about the Removed Items database, or re-import them manually.
Alternatively, if all of the files are of a particular file type, and none of your "good files" are of that same type, then you could de-select that particular file type for the watched folder. This isn't likely to work for you, though, I'd guess, because they aren't likely file-type specific like that.
It is worth mentioning that this applies only to Auto-Import runs (whether in the background, or manually initiated). If you are instead running the Import a Single Folder, then they'll always be re-imported if their file type matches one of the selected import file types. More info on the types of imports:

There are a bunch of strategies you could use for this. I've described my "Hide from Views" keyword system before:

You could add the Hide from Views filter to your Audio top-level views, and then add that keyword to all of the files you want hidden (using the Smartlist I showed you above to do it). Or, even quicker, would be to just add that number of channels filter to your Audio view directly. To add a filter to your Audio View (which then filters all of the children views "below it" in the
tree) you:
1. Right-click on
Audio in the tree and choose
Customize View.
2. Click on
Included Files > Set Rules for File Display.
3. This brings up an editor identical to the Smartlist editor.
4. Add a Rule: Channels is less than or equal to 2.
That is a bit less flexible, as you won't even see them before they're hidden. So your call on the best method.
