Performance characteristics of JRiver native convolver on RPi2?
« on: December 30, 2015, 04:12:00 pm »

What kind of performance expectations should I have for the linux native convolver on an RPi2?

More specifically:
  • How many taps could reasonably be run at what resolution?
  • Is the convolver using FFTW libraries?  If so, which version?
  • Is the convolver optimized to use the ARM NEON SIMD instruction set?
  • Any chance of adding support for GPU_FFT on RPi/2?
  • How does the JRiver convolver compare to jconvolver or BruteFIR?

Can't help you with jriver perf but http://www.audiovero.de/en/preamp-14-cleanvolver.php might give you a data point, iirc this can do 2 channels at 64k taps.
