This may be a problem with behringer X-32s, and not jriver, but a search of behringer forums can't seem to find any others feeding the X-32 from a jriver Id.
I'm connecting via USB.
One X-32, the rack version, has a 32 channel usb expansion card termed "X-USB". It is configurable in a variety of #input channels and #output channels.
http://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Mixers/Mixer-Accessories/X-USB/p/P0AZP/Features#The 2 in and 2 out, and 8 in and 32 out, configurations both connect just fine to the Id.
The other X-32, the Compact console version, has a 32 channel expansion card termed termed "X-UF". It adds a firewire port, and appears otherwise the same as the "X-USB" card, other than it cannot be configured as 2x2.
http://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Mixers/Mixer-Accessories/X-UF/p/P0AQK/Features#-nbsp-8x32 is the configuration common to both cards with the lowest input channel count. So I've been using it to connect to the ID. (The X-32 rack and console models are supposed to be identical other than control surfaces.)
Again, this configuration plays just fine with the X-32 rack and its X-USB card.
It also plays fine with the X-32 Compact and its X-UF card ....
UNTIL I stop a track in MediaCenter. Then, all 8 input channels peg full signal clipping, with a shrill whine.
Only Stop does this. Pause works fine, switching tracks, even between albums is fine, ........ but Stop is baaaad news...
Don't know how to continue troubleshooting here.....
Many Thx, Mark
