Volume controls on MJ ( are ineffective, on both mega and mini interfaces. Sliding has no effect on volume.

Volume must be adjusted using system volume control.

I am using an Audigy II card. Have reinstalled drivers as well as MJ program. Incidentally, volume slider is missing altogether on mega interface (tried suggestions on this forum to no avail).

I'm sure to be overlooking something... what is it?

did you go to the sound cards maker's site and look for updated drivers for your card?

if not then i would go there.  if there is  none   then i would go to  drivers.com and look for any that might be newer then you have.  but it sounds like there is a driver problem with you system, just finding which one is hard.   you might even be using  a card that is not  compatible with windows Xp  if you have  Xp.
