No audio
« on: April 20, 2016, 12:47:11 pm »

I have an issue where when I play a movie there is the background music but no dialog. I've tried several different changes with Asio, kernel streaming, direct, etc but nothing fixes it. The audio plays no problem in VLC. Can anyone suggest something?

Sounds like you have something unusual going on.  Some guesses:

A.  You might be playing only the surround channels, or maybe only the left and right.  If the dialog was ALL center channel and it's getting dropped that might explain it.  Take a look at your output channels:

Player > DSP Studio > Output format > Channels

The channels should probably be set to the physical number of speakers that you use in your system.  The mixing will determine how things with more or less channels are converted to your physical number of speakers.

B.  Maybe you've selected an audio commentary, or an isolated film score?  Check Player > Display Options > Streams to see what audio streams are available and select another one as a test.

Good luck.

Brian.
