power failure
« on: August 14, 2003, 05:18:14 pm »

I had just started analyzing  a bunch of Rock Music files and it seems the massive power draw caused the whole northestern power grid to shut down. Is this a new bug?

it may be a system problem.

Go to Help, system info and past that info into your next message.

maybe someone can help after that.

:-[ Upon futher checking it turns out that lightning struck a power plant in Niagra,NY which then knocked out 11 other power plants from as far north as Ottowa, and as far west as Detroit and east to NYC, Connecticut and New Jersey (I'm in the middle of New York state) and happened just as I clicked on the "analyze" button, hence my confusion.

I remember, I think we talked before.  I spent many a summer up at Lake George.  I lived in Clifton Park, north of Albany.

My sister in Albany says the state buildings lost power, but her home did not.

Careful clicking buttons in MC from now on...
