Its really annoying. The same album gets shown as separate albums in album view, despite sharing the exact same name - single tracks get siphoned off. I cannot seem to work it out. Can anyone help?

a simple search 'artist' and this is what I found. maybe this is your problem as I'm not sure from your description!

Sorry I think I wrote my question incorrectly.I have here a single album, a single artist, all with the same name, yet J River (wrongly) displays it as several albums?

it has to do with the tag album artist. there are either two artists listed or possibly none
