Tagging 'List Types' while in playing now
« on: August 04, 2003, 03:58:06 am »

Hiya,

Just wondering, how do I tag files with list types values so I can assign a song to multiple values for one field when in playing now?

Basically I want to be able to play my songs (as you would when tagging them to know what to tag them) and be able to put each song into categories: Soft Music, Heavy, Romantic, Dark etc - but each song needs to be able to go into multiple categories.

How do I do this for each song currently playing ?

Bump Bump Bump!!

There has to be a workable way to tag list types other than from Media Library.

Even if just a pop up window like the one that appears when we edit an item in the search window with a list of all the items (a pop up window basically with one pane appearing in it in tagging mode).

We could then just click 'Edit' on the property window on the field we wanted to edit and do it.

File Properties.

Enter your values seperated with semi-colons.

Ur right, that does technically work, but it means remembering every single value we've used previously (did I use the word soft, mellow, smooth? did I use angry, agressive?)

For me, it'd be easier to:
play a song,
Right click - locate
use the panes to tag
click on playing now
play next song
right click - locate
use the panes to tag
click on playing now again

Not exactly a smooth workflow.

I was just hoping that some type of improvement to list types had been/was going to be - implemented to the properties pane so we could properly use list types in places other than Media Library.
