I suspect that this issue is distro-specific. MC22 is refusing to retain my Master licence details. I have input the licence several times, it has been accepted and the details display correctly in the Registration info from the Help menu. Later, it thinks that it is Unregistered again. I have installed the licence several times over the last few days and each time it has been lost.
I first noticed this when a reminder popped up that a licence was needed so I re-input it, surprised but assumed that I had forgotten to do so originally. However this has repeated to the point where today I input it, it showed as having been accepted, and then a few minutes later showed as being unregistered again without even closing the software. I normally input the licence via the webpage (can't paste in Linux MC) but today I tried typing the licence directly in manually and found the same outcome.
I run two distros in both of my computers - Manjaro KDE as my daily OS (I need the more up-to-date software that it provides) but with Mint KDE as a backup in case something breaks in an update. This problem is not happening in Mint so appears to be Manjaro-specific but I cannot think of anything I have done to cause this error - I tend to keep default settings. MC21 has been rock-solid on Manjaro.
Can anyone suggest a reason for this issue? My copy is now unregistered again and at this rate I will need the licence restore count reset very soon.
