Marantz NA6005 and MC19.0 issue
« on: September 05, 2016, 09:26:52 am »

Hi everybody!

I hope someone can help me with this: I'm trying to use a NAS, MC 19.0 and Marantz NA6005, all of them connected to the same net; now, if I connect the Marantz to the net using an ethernet cable everything works fine, but if I connect the Marantz wirelessly, although it is correctly connected to the net, MC does not see it, any suggestion? Thanks in advance!

The MC server and the Marantz have to be on the same subnet. That means their IP addresses must be in a similar range to each other. Probably when you connect via wifi the wifi router is issuing an IP address on a different subnet than your Ethernet router does. In any case turn off the DHCP function on the wifi router, and let the Ethernet router assign all IP addresses.

Thanks Andrew!

They're both in the same subnet...I've also relaizaed that I cannot connect the Marantz to any app (even marantz' own); even specifying the ip (which is shown in the Marantz settings), the app gives an error "invalid ip", so considering that the Marantz is actually connected to the net, the problem lies in that is not seen by any device (MC, app, ...).

Ok. So obviously the problem is due to your router rather than due to MC. It could be that the router has assigned the same IP address to more than one device. So I suggest to power down the router and all devices, then power up the router first (allow it time to come online) and then power up again all other devices one by one.
