I have encoded my library so that Sonos can play all my songs. I would like to know how to change all the playlist files to read the exact same music but the mp3 version of all the songs, so that Sonos can actually find the right files to play

not sure if this is what your asking for but check out ....tools>options>file types>.....maybe try to uncheck flac and check mp3.....

If you're using smarlists add a rule "bitrate is less than or equal to 320kbps".

There's an app that can edit all your playlists to replace flac with mp3 all in one go - provided that the filenames are identical in every other way.
The app is the one that reportedly used with success at the end of the thread.

MCFileIngester can replace existing tracks in a library, even if the paths don't match.

To preserve all playlists including manual ordered lists, use Replace mode. Then you can just re-import the FLAC versions, and you should be set.
