It can happen if you import the same files from two locations, usually a mapped drive and a network share.
For example:
If you have files on another machine, say \\machine2\music\flac
and you have a mapped drive, say F:, that points to the same location
then you will see two sets of files.
Solution: Search for F: and (soft) delete one set. Read carefully when you do so.
