using multiple windows audio devices simultaneously
« on: January 02, 2017, 08:44:17 am »

I'm looking for a way to "bridge" multiple windows audio devices. There are 2 USB DAC's and 1 S/PDIF DAC hooked up and I'd like to map playback channels to more than one of these devices simultaneously for multi-channel playback. Is this a thing?  ?

I've briefly looked into Virtual Audio Cable, VB-cable/asio bridge, but my head starts spinning just staring at the interface.
So before frying my brain only to find out it can't be done, I toss it up here.

Any thoughts?

This is not possible except if you have all dacs timed by a master/word clock. Which is usually only possible on pro equipment. There are a couple of threads on this forum describing the challenge of syncing dacs, you should do a search.
