TV Tuner
« on: July 18, 2003, 06:59:45 am »

I have a Leadtek wintv2000xp deluxe.
Is there anyway that I can use this inside of MC without having to install there software?

Everytime I uninstall there PVR software I have pictures but no sound. I think there audio codec is inside there software....

If that is possible, is there anyway of using there remote with MC?

If this is no, What stereo tv card works the best with MC without the vendors crapware??

I have a Hauppauge WinTV card that works great with MC9.  I had to install Hauppauge's drivers but not any sort of front-end software.

Are you saying that if their PVR software is installed you can use the device in MC without problem?

Did you have to install the driver for the device and the PVR program separately? If so, try reinstalling the driver after uninstalling the PVR program. Maybe the uninstaller of the program uninstalled too much?

The audio codec is inside the PVR software.
There driver is for everything except audio.

Does this device require a pass-through cable connecting it to sound card?

Go to Options (below channels list) | Advanced | Advanced Properties, double click "Second Crossbar..." if it exists, otherwise "Video Crossbar..." (or try both), select "Audio Decoder Out" from the Output drop-down list, and then make sure "Audio Tuner In" is selected in the Input drop-down list.
