32bit and 16bit Integer not activating in integer mode

With integer mode activated the 32bit vinyl rips that I have do not output to my DAC as 32 bit. Instead they are forced down to 24bit even though my DAC is 32bit integer capable. Also on regular CD's 16 bit integer does not engage and is played as 24bit. As a test I tried using audirvana with integer mode on and it performed the bitdepth switching just fine. My DAC is a Schiit Bifrost Uber with USB Gen 2. Let me know if you need logs.

Is this regular behavior for integer mode in MC? Just would like some kind of confirmation whether this is a bug or not.
