When I try to play dsf files with JRiver through my Parasound Halo Integrated amp, I receive this message:

Playback could not be started using the format 352.8 kHz 64bit 2ch
This format would work: 176.4 KHZ 64bit 2ch

And then asks if I would like DSP studio to change Output Format automatically?

I would like to play these files at the highest quality possible.   Is there a JRiver setting I should be adjusting to do so, or is this my Integrated amp imposing the limitation?

Enable DSD bitstreaming under Options > Audio and under Bitstreaming change it from None to DSD. You'll need to use ASIO or WASAPI for it to work too.

Thank you!  To use ASIO...do you mean to select this under Audio Device? I had that set to Direct Audio Device but I can select Parasound Digital Audio KS Direct  (ASIO).  Is that correct?

Yep, that *should* be it (if it isn't see if there's a second ASIO option for the Parasound).

Interesting...that played the dsf files perfectly...then crashed my laptop when I tried to play a wma or an mp3 file...do I need to reverse these settings each time I want to play a non DSD format?  Hmmmm.
