How to keep hiding tree [SOLVED]
« on: March 30, 2017, 01:04:19 pm »

After I reinstall MC, its tree(the left pane of MC with Playing now / Audio / Image / Video / Television etc.) is always recovered even though I hide it, close MC and re-run MC.

I've kept List Style 'Thumbnails' and hidden the tree.
Now I don't remember which option handles it.

Hi:

These are the startup options I've chosen to return to my last view (see image) when I re-launch MC. As a result, if I select (click on) one of the two deltas (see image) on the left border of the main window, in this case it is a pane view called Matrix, the left border expands to the left and covers the 'Playing Now, Audio,...' area you mentioned (see image). When I cycle (close/open) MC, my view that existed when I exited is displayed. I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Lawrence

... there is also 'Tree & View' options (see image). I have Tree > Auto expand and Auto size width unchecked.

... and one more item to discuss related to tree expansion. If you right-click 'Audio' (underneath 'Playing Now') and select 'Customize View', look under the Settings for Tree (expand if necessary). I have 'Allow tree selection' and 'Support tree browsing' unchecked (see image).

File > Options > Startup > uncheck Show tree.

Awesome Donkey, Hi:

Thanks for the assist. I had that option captured in my first image of the first post above (Startup.jpg) but forgot to explicitly mention it. Thanks again.
