Channel Logos
« on: April 19, 2017, 05:34:29 pm »

Is there any way to export the channel logos on my TV server, and import them on my clients?

Channel logos should be showing on clients without you having to do anything.

They are on my server, but not my clients.  I just upgraded from 21.  My XMLTV provider has URL's in the XML, so I have not specifically set the logo's in the software.  They just showed up when I loaded the guide after upgrading.

Also, if I specify a value in the manage channels dialog, will that over-ride the auto imported ones?

The lack of logos on your Client might just be a timing thing.

With one of the updates recently, I think this one;
Quote
22.0.82 (3/15/2017)

1. Fixed: Television channel logos' transparency was not retained.

I lost Logos on my Client. I didn't fix it immediately, and the next day they were back. So, wait a day or so, and perhaps restart (or reboot) MC Server and Client to see if that kicks off a refresh.

I assume you are using build 97.  In that version the logo URL is saved in each channel's image file field.  It requires the server to download the image on the fly.  In a newer version the files will be downloaded and saved in the coverart folder.  In either case, the server should serve the actual image data to the client.

Yes.  EPG data will not change existing logo image.  It only fills the image file field if the field is empty.  So manually adding an image always replaces the EPG image, but not the other way around.

Yes, I upgraded today from mc 21 build 91 (or was it 90???), directly to mc 22 build 97.

I will give it a day or so.  Headed to NYC tomorrow for a few days, if it's not fixed by the time I get back, I will re-post.

I use Schedules Direct, JSON, if that matters.  But I only pull it in via the server.

Just got around to installing build 105, and it now is working fine.

Thanks!

Thanks for reporting back.  I thought the change in build 99 might have a positive effect on this issue, but was (and still am) not sure.
