I use ReaStream to stream audio from MC22 to a receiver (Reaper DAW) connected to some speakers in our showroom. The basic architecture is on my MC installation, the audio out connects to the audio in of another PC. This PC (call it the Sender) has Reaper installed with ReaStream as a plugin that is set to send audio to another PC connected to speakers (call it the Receiver). Because of limitations, and needing fairly low latency, this is really the only way to do what I want.
I just recently tried using ReaStream directly within MC, but the audio was garbled. Not sure why. If I could do this, I could reduce the complexity, and only have to use Reaper on the receiving side.
Has anyone used ReaStream successfully hosted inside JRiver MC?
My guess is that this is too much of a niche, but figured I would ask.
Oh, and for some reason when I tried to host within MC, I couldn't uncheck the 'tempo & pitch' checkbox. It kept re-checking itself. But on another computer, it works fine. Not sure what is up with that.
