MC as Chromecast renderer?
« on: June 30, 2017, 04:23:58 pm »

I have just signed up to Tidal, playing through a Windows laptop that has a MC DSP system. I want to control everything from my phone, the way that I could Spotify - that played through the Spotify app controlling the Spotify windows program, which played into the MC virtual sound card.

I can make it work by using bubble upnp on my phone - that connects to Tidal and renders to the MC system. Rather clunky though.

I can also get the tidal app to cast to my Chromecast devices. But that doesn't help with my main systems.

What I would like is for the tidal app to render directly to the MC upnp system. I know that the best way would be for tidal to embrace the upnp standard, but it would actually be quite nice if MC could imitate a Chromecast. Then any device or system could simply cast to MC.

Any chance of this happening? Please :)
